We love making the internship experience both memorable and educational. In addition to helping our teams be more productive and efficient, our interns gain experience, develop new skills, make connections and strengthen their resumes. While it’s true that we enjoy the short-term support, oftentimes we look to hire our interns after they graduate.
Besides learning the ins and outs of our business and industry, interns get to experience many of the same perks that employees do. From attending happy hours or team lunches to networking events to sitting in on departmental meetings, they become heavily immersed in the everyday flow of business and culture. We develop relationships with each person and genuinely nurture their career growth. They represent the GumGum brand and with that we strive to give them an experience they can share with their college peers and friends.
Here’s what Lauren Baxter, our summer marketing intern, had to say about her experience:
“This past summer I was an intern for GumGum’s marketing team. Before coming to GumGum, I had worked for a few different technology oriented companies, but did not know much about the world of artificial intelligence. I was completely immersed in an entirely new work culture and loved every second of it. AI is our future and it was so exciting to have the experience to work for a company that is on the forefront of technological development.
I especially enjoyed being on the marketing team because I was exposed to many different areas of GumGum’s business. From the start, I was doing work that was integral to the operations of the marketing team and other departments, which made me feel really welcomed. I mainly specialized in Salesforce operations, campaign tracking and reporting KPIs, and also helped with various account based marketing projects.
Some of the highlights of my summer were the happy hours, the hackathon, the solar eclipse viewing and always having a dog around to play with! GumGum has an amazing work environment that inspires hard work and innovation. This summer helped to solidify my passion for technology and I am looking forward to continue my career in the tech world!”
