- Non-Registered User: You can browse media on GumGum without having a GumGum account.
- Registered User: Certain activities on GumGum (such as uploading and licensing media) require you to have a GumGum account. We ask for some personal information when you create a GumGum account, including your email address and a password, which is used to protect your account from unauthorized access.
- We may record information about your usage, such as when you use GumGum, the media you license and the frequency and size of data transfers, as well as information you display or click on in GumGum.
- Any personal information or content that you voluntarily disclose online (on your personal profile page, content metadata, discussion boards, etc.) becomes publicly available and can be collected and used by others.
- GumGum will never sell or rent your private information to third parties
- Information that is obtained by GumGum through your use of the web site, such as your username or content that you upload, may be publicly displayed on parts of the Web Site in accordance with your account's privacy and marketplace settings.
- GumGum will not share your personal information with third parties except in cases in which we are mandated to by law, such as court orders or subpoenas.
- You can delete media that you have on GumGum by selecting the media that you wish to delete, then clicking the "Delete this item" button. Or you can delete groups of media using the batch edit tool.

GumGum is very serious about the security of your data. We protect all of your media and personal information with multiple layers of secutiy. It is also, however, the user's responsibility to access the web site in a secure way. GumGum cannot be held responsible for data or content theft resulting from negligence on the part of the user.
Royalties and Content Protection
GumGum respects and protects the rights of content-owners. The content-owner is paid the appropriate, full amount for all of his/her content that is sold on GumGum. Every reasonable effort has been made to protect the copyright and royalties of a content owner's content. GumGum protects content with proprietary authentication technology, distribution wrapper, and watermarks. However, illegal copying of some files by a third party without authorization is a potential risk.

I've just signed up to GumGum and was surprised that there was no verification of my email address (a mail sent to my address to which I would have to reply to prove that this is really my address).
I think you should fix this like, now.
